1. About Us

Begin Within Foundation empowers individuals and families through educational programming focused on emotional wellness, life skills, leadership development, and community healing. Our educational offerings include:

• Wellness Education

• Life Skills Education

• Leadership Development

• Financial Literacy

• Emotional Intelligence Education

• Personal Development Workshops

• Mentorship and Educational Coaching

These programs are delivered through initiatives such as our Wellness Education and Personal Development Program, YOUniversal Mentorship Program, Youth and Young Adult Empowerment, Community Outreach and Resource Support, and Beauty Beyond Bars, a workforce development and reentry education initiative.

2. Eligibility and Use of the Site

You may use the Site only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are accessing the Site with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian if you are a minor. Certain programs may have their own eligibility requirements, which will be communicated separately.

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or related networks

• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form, including volunteer, mentorship, partnership, or contact forms

• Use any automated means, such as bots or scrapers, to access or collect data from the Site without our prior written consent

3. Not Medical, Mental Health, or Professional Advice

Begin Within Foundation provides educational programming in areas such as wellness, life skills, leadership, financial literacy, emotional intelligence, and personal development. Content on this Site, and participation in our educational programs, is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal, or financial advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician, licensed therapist, or other appropriate professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 immediately. Do not rely on this Site for emergency assistance.

4. Educational Programs and Services

Begin Within Foundation's offerings, including wellness education, life skills education, leadership development, financial literacy, emotional intelligence education, personal development workshops, and mentorship and educational coaching, are educational and informational in nature. Participation in these programs, including youth empowerment and reentry and workforce education initiatives, may be subject to additional program specific guidelines, applications, waivers, or agreements. Enrollment, acceptance, and continued participation in any program are at the sole discretion of Begin Within Foundation and may be subject to availability, funding, and eligibility criteria.

We make no guarantee of specific outcomes or results from participation in any program.

5. Donations

Donations made through the Site are voluntary and, to the extent permitted by law, non-refundable. Begin Within Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by applicable law. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your contribution. Donation processing may be handled by a third-party payment processor, whose own terms and privacy practices will apply to that transaction.

We reserve the right to decline or return a donation at our discretion.

6. Volunteer, Mentor, and Partner Applications

Submitting an application to volunteer, mentor, or partner with us does not guarantee acceptance into any program. Selected individuals may be required to complete additional steps, such as background checks, interviews, or training, before participating.

If you submit information, comments, testimonials, photos, or other content to us, for example through a contact form, newsletter sign up, or program application, you grant Begin Within Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content for purposes related to our mission, programs, and promotional or fundraising activities, unless you tell us otherwise in writing. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the Begin Within Foundation name and branding, is the property of Begin Within Foundation or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

The Site may contain links to third party websites or platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, or payment processors, that are not owned or controlled by Begin Within Foundation. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Your use of those sites is governed by their own terms and policies.
